Help Orphans Now is a not-for-profit, voluntary organization established to assist disadvantaged and orphaned children in Sri Lanka reach their full potential, irrespective of their race or religion. Help Orphans Now aims to:

  • Provide for their physical, educational and emotional needs

  • Protect them in a secure, caring environment, and

  • Empower them to become valuable members of their communities and country.

Help Orphans Now was formally established in 2005, though our involvement with orphans in Sri Lanka began with the Christmas Gift Project in 1994. We have since facilitated the establishment of several orphanages in response to the needs of children in crisis following the Boxing Day 2004 tsunami.

Our success is thanks to the generous support of our corporate sponsors, individual donors and volunteers. We welcome you to browse our website and get involved!

Even the smallest difference made is a difference worth making!

The pandemic has sadly meant that, due to social distancing requirements and logistical issues, we have had to make the difficult decision to hold off sending Christmas gifts to thousands of children across Sri Lanka for the first time in 26 years. However, there are many additional supports that we will be providing to the children to address the impact of the lockdown. Please click here for more information on how you can help!
