The work of Help Orphans Now is supported by public donations only. Help Orphans Now is operated entirely by volunteers in Australia, so administration costs are kept to a minimum.
You may donate by mailing us a cheque or by making a direct deposit to our bank account.

Please indicate whether you wish to make your donation non-tax deductible or tax deductible. The money will be channeled to projects differently depending on your choice.
Under Australian Tax Office rules, tax-deductible donations may only be used to fund development and relief activities. Welfare activities may only be funded using non-tax deductible donations.
- Development activities aim to produce benefits that will endure after development assistance has ceased. Examples include education and vocational training.
- Relief activities provide basic support to people in emergency situations, such as shelter, food and clothing.
- Welfare activities provide for individuals on a long-term basis. Examples include the running of orphanages.
Non-tax deductible donations
Your donation will be used for both welfare and development projects in Sri Lanka.
Non tax-deductible donations will not have any fees directly deducted. However, some expenses for running these projects may be met through these funds (eg stationary, phone calls, bank fees etc).
Tax deductible donations
In general, your donations will be used in Sri Lanka for development projects only. From time to time, should the situation arise, Help Orphans Now may specifically raise funds for relief efforts while making this clear.
Help Orphans Now may apply for tax deductibility status once it has been in operation for a minimum period, but in the interim, is permitted to work through another approved charity. Tax deductible donations will have a 5% administration fee charged by the charity that is partnered with Help Orphans Now.
