Help Orphans Now is a not-for-profit, voluntary organization created to assist disadvantaged and orphaned children in Sri Lanka recover from the tragedy that was caused by the Boxing Day 2004 tsunami and reach their full potential, irrespective of their race or religion.
Help Orphans Now aims to:
- provide for their physical, educational and emotional needs
- protect them in a secure, caring environment
- empower them to become valuable members of their communities and country.
Help Orphans Now is planning its activities around two phases, addressing the immediate and the long-term needs of affected children in orphanages:
Phase 1: Re-building orphanages damaged or destroyed by the tsunami
Phase 2: Providing for the long-term physical, emotional and educational needs of the disadvantaged children.
